Pathway Studios

Here once were the Pathway Studios, a 8-track former garage famous for its great atmosphere, cold temperatures, distinctive smell and excellent recordings.

Among the artists who made here their early recordings, with producer Nick Lowe, are The Damned (who recorded their debut single New Rose in September 1976), Madness, Elvis Costello (who debut album My Aim is True was recorded here), The Police, and the Dire Straits (whose demo and single versions of Sultans of Swing was recorded, again, here).

Address: 2A Grosvenor Ave, Mildmay Ward, London N5 2NR
