The Clissold Arms was the pub where the Davies brothers first performed in public. The place still has a cocktail lounge dedicated to The Kinks, with plenty of pics and memorabilia. Worth a visit!

Frederick and Annie Davies moved the family to this flat, at 6 Denmark Terrace, in Fortis Green, not long after Ray and Dave Davies were born – on Huntingdon Road, East Finchley.

On the 24th of September 1966 Jimi Hendrix arrived in England for the first time and joined the house band for an impromptu session on stage at The Scotch of St. James. At the the height of 1960s swinging London the venue served as a historically significant meeting place for London’s rock elite.
Henrit’s Drumstore
112 Wardour Street, which is now Printroom, in the 1970s hosted the legendary Henrit’s Drumstore, owned by Bob Henrit, who played with Argent, Roger Daltrey, and The Kinks, in different times of his life.
