Bon Scott’s Memorial

Left to sleep in a Renault 5 owned by his friend Alistair Kinnear at 67 Overhill Road in East Dulwich, AC/DC‘s Bon Scott was later found lifeless on the 19th of February 1980.

The official cause was listed on the death certificate as “acute alcohol poisoning” and classified as “death by misadventure“. He was 33. You can find this makeshift blue plaque at the corner between Lordship Lane and Overhill Road.

On April 1, 1980, in London, the AC/DC auditioned and officially announced Brian Johnson as their new singer.
